No. The retreat is open to every level, from complete beginners through to experienced practitioners, and plenty of people arrive having never done anything like this before.

If you're thinking "I have no idea what I'm doing" or "what if nothing happens for me", that feeling is far more common than you'd guess, and it tends to be the people carrying it who surprise themselves most during the week.

Before you arrive, you'll complete a short form about your experience so far. We use it to place you in a development group alongside people at a similar stage, so you won't find yourself the only beginner in a room of working mediums, or an experienced medium revisiting ground you covered years ago. Groups are shaped fresh each year around the people actually in the room.

Whatever level you start from, you'll be taught at it.

Your groups are confirmed when you arrive, and announced at the opening session on day one.

What shapes them is the experience form you complete beforehand. You'll be placed in a main development group led by one of the four mentors, and that group becomes your home base for the week. Across the rest of the programme you'll work with all four mentors, Sean included, so nobody spends the week with only one teacher.

If there's a particular mentor you're hoping to work with, tell us when you register. We can't guarantee placements, as groups are balanced by experience level first, but we'll take your request into account wherever we can.

And if your group doesn't feel like the right fit once the week is underway, come and find us. We'd much rather move you than have you spend five days in the wrong room.

Your package covers your stay and the full retreat programme.

Included:

• Five nights at Ayodya Resort in a Classic Deluxe Room

• All meals, plus water, tea, coffee and soft drinks

• All classes, workshops and development sessions

• All ceremonies, demonstrations and evening experiences

For 2027 the entire programme takes place within the resort, so there's no additional travel to budget for once you're with us.

Not included:

• Flights and airport transfers

• Your Indonesian visa and the Bali tourist levy, both required for entry

• Travel insurance, which we strongly recommend

• Alcoholic drinks

• The optional additional workshop day, booked separately

• Any extra nights before or after the retreat

• Spa treatments and personal spending

Airport transfers aren't included in 2027, but you won't be left to work it out alone. We recommend Pandu at CCI Transport Bali, who has looked after our guests on previous retreats. His contact details are on your payment page.

The retreat is a full immersion, and the days are deliberately full.

We don't publish the full schedule, as the programme is our own work and remains our copyright. What follows is a rough guide to the rhythm of a typical day, and it's subject to change. You'll receive the complete schedule on your first day with us.

Sessions generally begin around 9:30am and the teaching day finishes around 3:30pm, leaving you a couple of hours in the late afternoon for the pool, the beach, a spa treatment or simply to rest. Breakfast is served across the morning, so you can eat whenever suits you before we begin.

Arrival day on the 6th is gentler. Check in opens at midday and the retreat begins at 2pm. If you're flying long haul, we'd gently suggest arriving a day or two earlier so you can settle in without watching the clock. Extra nights are booked directly with the resort, and you'll find how to do that further down this page.

The final morning is kept light so nobody is rushing for a flight.

That said, this is your retreat. If you need to rest, or a particular session isn't for you, you're welcome to take the week at the pace that suits you. Because the teaching is so concentrated, people often find they move further in five days than they have in years of occasional practice.

The retreat has grown considerably since we began, and you'll be joining a large international gathering with people travelling from all over the world. For many attendees, that community is one of the best parts of the week.

The teaching itself happens in much smaller groups. We don't fix the structure in advance. Once the experience forms are in, we shape the groups around the cohort we actually have that year, so you're learning alongside people at a similar stage rather than being slotted into a template.

Your development group is where most of your week happens, and across the programme you'll work with all four mentors, Sean included.

If you're asking because you want to know whether you'll be seen and supported rather than lost in a crowd, that's exactly the right question, and it's precisely why we build the groups the way we do.

Per person, for both room types.

• Twin share: $3,620 AUD per person

• Private single room: $3,995 AUD per person

The difference between the two rates reflects the room only. Everything else is the same for every attendee, because it's provided per person: your place in the programme, all your meals, the gala dinner and the opening ceremony.

Sharing a room reduces the accommodation part of your package. It doesn't change the retreat you receive.

All prices are in Australian dollars, and the price you see is the price you pay. We don't add a card surcharge.

If something goes wrong, email us at admin@seanpsychicmedium.com and we'll help you sort it out. Declined cards, a payment link that won't load, a Wise account that won't cooperate: we've seen all of them before and can usually fix them quickly. Please don't wait until your due date to tell us, as these are much easier to resolve with a little time in hand.

Yes. Payment plans are available through Afterpay, Zip Pay and Klarna at our Stripe checkout.

How it works:

1. Pay your $1,000 deposit directly to secure your place. The deposit itself can't go on a payment plan.

2. When your balance falls due, choose Afterpay, Zip Pay or Klarna at checkout.

3. Once the provider approves you, they pay us your balance in full, and you repay them directly on whatever schedule they've offered you.

That third step is the one worth understanding. Your instalments are an arrangement between you and the provider, not between you and us. From our side your balance is settled the moment the provider approves it, which is also the moment your place is fully confirmed.

A 10% surcharge applies when you pay this way.

Two things to note. Availability of Afterpay, Zip Pay and Klarna varies by country, so if you're outside Australia you may find some or all of these don't appear at your checkout. And the optional Extra Programme Day can't be paid by instalment, as it's separately ticketed.

It depends on when you pay your deposit.

• Deposit paid before 1 March 2027: your balance is due by 1 March 2027

• Deposit paid on or after 1 March 2027: your balance is due within 30 days of your deposit, or by 8 July 2027, whichever comes first

• Booking made after 8 July 2027: the full amount, deposit and balance together, is payable at the time of booking

Your exact due date is confirmed in your welcome email when you book.

These dates are firm. If it isn't received by your due date, your place may be released and your deposit is not refunded.

We'll send courtesy reminders as your due date approaches. These are automated, so if you've paid very recently one may still reach you before our system catches up. Your receipt is your confirmation. If anything looks wrong, just email us.

It depends how you paid.

If you paid by card at our checkout, your receipt is generated and emailed to you automatically, so it should arrive within minutes. If you can't see it, check your promotions and junk folders, as that's almost always where it's hiding.

If you paid by bank transfer, please allow 5 to 10 business days. Transfers take longer to clear and process, so a short wait is completely normal and doesn't mean anything has gone wrong.

Once your receipt arrives, that's your confirmation and your place is secure.

Yes. The Extra Programme Day is a separate purchase at $600 AUD per person, and it isn't part of the retreat package.

It runs on Saturday 11 September 2027, on the final day of the retreat, beginning after the morning farewell meeting. You'll spend the day working with one of our four mentors in a smaller group than the main week allows.

You don't need to be attending the main retreat to join us for it. The day is open to anyone.

Places are strictly limited and go to the first people who pay, so if you know you want it, it's worth booking early.

One only. All four workshops run at the same time, so you'll spend the full day with the mentor you choose.

You make your choice when you book the day, and it's final once made, so do give it some thought before you decide.

Places are balanced across the four workshops as bookings come in. If your heart is set on a particular mentor, booking early is the surest way to get them.
